PRIVATE HOUSE 7

Vicenza

The interior design project was part of the complete renovation of a small building located in the historic center and involved: the choice of all the covering materials, color, windows and wall distribution of the spaces. In particular, the internal staircase in Vicenza stone with iron railing was maintained and revalued, an intervention that also led to the revisiting of the existing skylight in the stairwell. For the floors of the living room and sleeping area, a Canadian oak wood laid in a herringbone pattern was selected, while for the bathrooms a selection of cement resins affected both the floors and the walls. The choice of color for the walls throughout the home (living room and sleeping area) fell on a warm gray shade that made the rooms enveloping while at the same time promoting the enhancement of the client's wall works. For the bathrooms, however, a strictly dark and intimate shade was chosen. Many furnishing elements, such as the large fireplace and the dividing structure between the dining room and living room, were custom-made. For the large kitchen, an Arc linea model was chosen.
