PRIVATE HOUSE 8

Vicenza

In this home, an apartment in a building from the early 1900s, a conservative intervention was carried out on the existing spaces and materials. The wooden floors in the living room and sleeping area were maintained and revalued, while in the bathroom Spanish cement tiles were placed according to design. To increase the brightness, and create continuity and connection between the spaces, the wall layout in the bathroom was revised with partial demolition of the kitchen wall. This union was achieved through a vintage wired glass and through color. The kitchen and bathroom furnishings in painted metal were designed by Orietta Marcon. Throughout the home, a selection of vintage pieces for seats and lamps contaminated by design elements. In the sleeping area, a distinctive element is the dividing panel by the artist decorator Stefano Pravato made of impressed concrete.
